A) The rules continue to be a lie.
Did you know Linktree and Beacons are slowly being phased out as best practice?
The current recommendation is to use your author website as your main link hub, instead of linking out to a third-party hub that then links to everything else.
Translation:
Build the house. Don’t rent the hallway.
B) Amazon author pages are not automatic.
Did you know that to create an Author Page on Amazon, you have to claim your books through a separate site?
You’ll want to go to:author.amazon.com
From there, you can configure your page, bio, photos, and book listings.
Because of course it’s not where you’d expect it to be.
C) Goodreads continues to be an asshole.
The book is still MIA.
No explanation. No timeline. Just vibes
Publishing is less about writing a book and more about learning which invisible doors you’re supposed to knock on and which ones are pretending not to exist.
